Affiliate Reversal Policy
How commission reversals, holds, voids, refund impacts, chargebacks, and anti-fraud review affect affiliate ledger entries and payouts.

Ledger source of truth
- Affiliate commissions, reversals, payout readiness, and adjustments are ledger-backed and admin-reviewed.
- A commission is not final merely because attribution exists; ledger status controls whether it is pending, approved, payable, paid, rejected, reversed, or expired.
Refunds and chargebacks
- Refunds, chargebacks, payment disputes, Patreon adjustments, duplicate payments, or approved exceptions can reverse or reduce related affiliate commissions.
- A refund, payment reversal, or approved exception can still affect affiliate eligibility even when the underlying product is normally final sale.
Anti-fraud review
- Commissions may be rejected, held, reversed, voided, or expired for self-referrals, undisclosed paid promotion, false claims, misleading traffic, duplicate attribution, suspicious payment activity, or policy violations.
- Relevant staff notes and account history may be used to document the reason for a reversal.
Payout impacts
- If a reversal occurs before payout, the ledger can remove the amount from payable totals.
- If a reversal occurs after payout, later payout review may apply holds, offsets, manual adjustment, or additional admin review.
