Disclosure and product clarity

  • Affiliates must clearly disclose affiliate links, referral codes, sponsorship, or commission eligibility wherever links are shared.
  • Affiliate promotion may not imply that videos are included. Scripts only. Videos not included.

External supporter accounts

  • Patreon handles membership billing and access. Supporters do not need Velvet Kinetics accounts to join through Patreon.
  • Patreon supporter information may exist without a Velvet Kinetics login and may be connected to an account only when needed for referral tracking, support, or review.

Net revenue calculation

  • Affiliate commission review is based on eligible net revenue after refunds, chargebacks, platform adjustments, taxes, discounts, fees, fraud review, reversals, and admin exclusions.
  • Velvet Kinetics uses its commission history to calculate affiliate amounts, payment eligibility, payouts, and reversals.

First-3-paid-month rule

  • Affiliate eligibility may be limited to the first 3 paid months of an eligible referred supporter or customer relationship unless an admin-approved program term says otherwise.
  • The first-3-paid-month rule is reviewed using Patreon payment history, referral details, commission history, and relevant staff notes.

Clearance period and threshold

  • Commissions require an admin-reviewed clearance period before becoming payable.
  • Payouts require the configured payout threshold to be met and remain subject to review, hold, reversal, or voiding before payment.

Anti-fraud and reversals

  • Velvet Kinetics may reject, hold, reverse, void, or expire commissions for fraud, self-referrals, undisclosed ads, misleading promotion, platform abuse, refund activity, chargebacks, duplicate attribution, or policy violations.
  • Affiliate reversal rules are described in the Affiliate Reversal Policy.
